John is a Director and Head of Korean Sales in Heitman’s Client Service & Marketing group. He is responsible for leading the firm’s business development initiatives across the Asia Pacific region, focusing on Korea, for private real estate equity, public securities and private real estate debt. Prior to his current role, he served as Director and Head of the Global Investment Team at Koramco Asset Management, where he led international real estate investment initiatives. Throughout his career, John has been responsible for sourcing, underwriting, executing, and managing global real estate investments, with a particular focus on overseas markets and institutional-quality assets. Prior to Koramco, he held investment roles at Hanwha Asset Management and Korea Investment Management, building a deep expertise in global real estate strategies and investor relationships. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking and business development in Hong Kong.

John received a BBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Hong Kong. He is a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and a Certified Investment Manager (Korea Financial Investment Association), and is fluent in Korean and English.
