The Associate, Financial Performance Reporting, will be responsible for gathering and tracking a myriad of data to be disseminated via various distribution routes. The position is responsible for reporting to a broad group of clients, consultants, and databases. This role will work as part of Heitman’s Client Service & Marketing Team and provide day-to-day data support to the Consultant Relations and the Global Sales Teams.

 

The ideal candidate will have a tenacious demeanor to ensure internal and external client requests are met swiftly. A successful candidate will be goal-oriented, professional, and provide a best-in-class service while demonstrating the ability to be self-directed, organized, and results-focused.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the population and validation of databases supporting all Heitman products.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely completion of quarterly consultant-client questionnaires.
  • Prepare investor statement slides to support Heitman’s investor relations efforts.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly firm-wide schedules, including assets under management, transaction activity, and capital raised.
  • Coordinate quarterly Global Multi-Asset Platform (GMAP) performance updates in partnership with the Financial Operations and Analysis team.
  • Support the preparation of firm data for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), industry surveys, and various internal and external information requests.
  • Assist in responding to follow-up inquiries from the global sales team and consultant relations client meetings.
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based source files and utilize JIRA to track workflows, driving process improvements and team efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong time management skills – able to work on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills – clear and organized thinking.
  • Real estate industry experience highly preferred.
  • Salesforce experience a plus.

 

Job Location and Travel

  • This position is based in our Chicago office.
  • Our teams work in a hybrid environment and in-office days vary by team.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 and will be further discussed during the interview process. This range represents what Heitman reasonably and in good faith believes we would pay a qualified candidate for this role at the time of posting (based on a full-time equivalent schedule). Your actual base salary placement will depend on factors such as (but not limited to): your relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition, all of our team members are bonus eligible and participate in a generous annual bonus plan, with the percentage varying based on your role and level, ensuring that your contributions are recognized and rewarded.
