Jerry Ehlinger, CFA, is a Global Investment Advisor in Heitman’s Global Real Estate Securities group and an equity owner of the firm. Prior to transitioning into his role as an advisor, Jerry served as Senior Managing Director, Group Head, and Chief Investment Officer of the firm’s Global Real Estate Securities group, where he was responsible for leading the firm’s regional and global public real estate securities strategies. Prior to Heitman, Jerry was Lead Portfolio Manager and Head of Real Estate Securities, Americas at DB/RREEF Real Estate. He began his career at Morgan Stanley Asset Management, primarily covering the REIT sector as both a sell-side analyst and senior research associate.

Jerry received an MS in Finance, Investment and Banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Among other professional affiliations, Jerry is a member of the NAREIT Real Estate Investment Advisory Council, the CFA Institute, and the CFA Society of Chicago.
