This Opportunity

Our Chicago office is seeking an Associate to join their Asset Management team. We are looking for a self-starter, who is highly collaborative, analytical and has a strong interest in Real Estate.

The responsibilities of an Associate include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the asset management of a diverse portfolio of high-quality retail assets for one of the firm’s flagship investment vehicles, as well as assist in development and re-positioning projects for a subset of the portfolio
  • Evaluate the current and projected performance of properties using a variety of data sources
  • Support implementations on long-term asset management strategies, including income and expense forecasting, leasing plan, capital budget, value creation activity and risk-return analysis
  • Analyze quarterly appraisals and valuations
  • Participate in the review of annual budget proposals and leasing plans of assets
  • Prepare financial analysis/modeling to aid in decision-making
  • Prepare reports and analysis for review by senior management with opportunity to work directly with a variety of senior leaders at the firm including Senior Vice President of Development and Senior Vice President of Asset Management

We are seeking individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • 1-3 years of real estate experience (valuation experience highly desired)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or real estate
  • Excellent communicator with strong writing skills
  • Well-organized, detail oriented and deadline driven
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic team environment
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Experience with Argus Enterprise; Power BI experience a plus
  • Ability to travel
