Heitman is currently seeking an Assistant Vice President to join the Client Service & Marketing (“CSM”) team. CSM is comprised of nearly 50 people across the world, responsible for client and consultant relationship management, raising capital globally, new product development, and the global corporate marketing of Heitman.
The successful candidate will be based in the firm’s Chicago headquarters and will work closely with a team of senior sales professionals, as well as the broader CSM team, fund managers and the global research team. The primary objective of the position is to provide end-to-end support to the sales team to deliver a distinctive client experience across Heitman’s private real estate equity, public real estate securities, and private real estate debt solutions to retain clients and drive commercial success. Primary responsibilities will include development and programmatic updates to client-facing marketing collateral; liaising with various operational, research and fund teams to create and maintain up-to-date product information; coordinating and responding to investor inquiries; researching and tracking prospect development; and assisting with and participating in client meetings. The candidate will also work closely with colleagues across the firm on a variety of projects (e.g. annual North American Investor Conference).
It is expected that the successful candidate will act independently, be a collaborative, goal-oriented professional, bring a strong interest in developing institutional relationships and possess a “can do” service orientation. The ability to use discretion and be self-directed and organized will be critical to success. The candidate should also have a desire to grow into a sales role. Central to all of these responsibilities is the individual's ability to think both critically and strategically, and then act tactically- prioritizing efforts, managing across senior and junior levels in the organization, and managing across time zones to drive initiatives towards outcomes.
