Job Description

Our Chicago office is seeking a Senior Vice President of Asset Management to join their Private Real Estate Debt group.

The responsibilities of a Senior Vice President of Asset Management include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with Portfolio Managers to oversee a portfolio of real estate debt investments across senior, mezzanine and preferred equity strategies
  • Lead a team of professionals to monitor credit quality and collateral status of the platform’s loan portfolio
  • Assess the current and projected performance of properties/collateral, including periodic on-site asset reviews.
  • Manage the valuation of all real estate collateral on a quarterly basis
  • Communicate with borrowers to build relationships and identify potential issues
  • Develop action plans to resolve credit issues and negotiate appropriate documentation
  • Participate in portfolio review presentations to Investment Committee and to investors as required
  • Manage reporting for debt investments under management by multiple investor clients
  • Ensure compliance with client investment management agreement


  • Minimum 10 years of real estate experience with the most recent specifically in the Debt space
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or real estate
  • Experience managing debt portfolios including an extensive background evaluating credit quality
  • Experience resolving challenged loan situations
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong presentation and technical skills
  • Deadline driven
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
