Job Description

Our Chicago office is seeking a Associate in Asset Management.

The responsibilities of an Associate include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the management of a large and varied real asset investment portfolio
  • Prepare financial analysis/modeling for asset decision-making
  • Prepare and monitor annual business plans for the assets under management
  • Review annual budget proposals and leasing plans of assets
  • Implement a long-term asset management strategy, including income and expense forecasting, leasing plan, capital budget, value creation activity and risk-return analysis for assets
  • Ensure compliance with client investment management agreements
  • Coordinate dispositions of assets as well as any financing of assets
  • Approve construction draw requests and report on leasing activity
  • Review appraisals and valuations
  • Assess the current and projected performance of properties
  • Prepare reports and documents for review by senior management

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of real estate experience (including valuation experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or real estate, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Well-organized and deadline driven
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong proficiency in Argus Enterprise/Argus, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Ability to travel with frequency
