Job Description

Our Chicago office is seeking a Senior Equity Analyst to join its Public Real Estate Securities team!

The responsibilities of an Senior Equity Analyst include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing in depth industry knowledge and relationships in your property sectors
  • Providing detailed company and financial analysis of publicly traded real estate companies and property markets
  • Assessing the capabilities of each company’s senior management team through one-on-one meetings and quantitative measures
  • Formulating recommendations to the remainder of the investment team for names in your coverage universe.
  • Writing and presenting research reports as needed

Qualifications

We are seeking individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • 1-5 years of relevant work experience desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related field
  • Experience investing in or researching public equities
  • Real estate investment experience is a plus
  • Understanding of accounting principles and capital markets
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Interpret and efficiently retrieve information from companies’ publicly disclosed documents
  • Strong organizational skills in conjunction with a strong work ethic
