The Client Service Manager will be responsible for gathering and tracking a myriad of data in order to disseminate the information via various distribution routes. The position is responsible for all aspects of reporting to a broad group of consultants, industry publications and databases. The type of information that is conveyed to these firms include Heitman updates, performance returns on all products and financial reporting of specific client investments.  The successful candidate will have a strong accounting or finance background with an interest in real estate.  

The responsibilities of a Manager - Data Analytics include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for providing, understanding and reviewing accounting, financial and performance data for use in client and consultant requests, industry publications, marketing collateral, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Track and report firm-wide information such as assets under management, acquisition and disposition activity, clients gained and lost, capital raised, and performance track records
  • Partner with various subject matter experts from other departments to obtain and review accounting, financial and performance data for dissemination across multiple distribution channels
  • Provide analytical support to the global sales and consultant relations teams
  • Review and validate all firm-wide information and performance measurements for use in presentation materials across the firm’s business units including private real estate equity, private real estate debt, and public securities, for North American, European, and Asia-Pacific products
  • Work alongside senior officers to build presentations and supporting documents for use at annual investor and employee meetings
  • Prepare financial and performance metrics for use in internal meetings pertaining to potential new Heitman products
  • Prepare and analyze performance statistics for our core private equity open end fund compared to its competitors and benchmark
  • Update and maintain numerous performance track record composites for the firm
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly database update process for all Heitman products
  • Interface with Heitman compliance personnel in order to complete annual filings and assist on SEC audits and internal audits
  • Serve as the team lead in formalizing the marketing presentation update process for efficiency between all teams involved

We are seeking individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • 7+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting or related field
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required
  • Real estate industry experience highly preferred
  • Understanding of performance measurement methodologies and accounting principles for both private and public real estate investments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and oral communication skills – clear and organized thinking
  • Strong time management skills – able to work on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently
  • Salesforce experience a plus
