This Opportunity

Our Chicago office is seeking a Reconciliation Associate to be responsible for all aspects of the reconciliation, reporting and accounting functions for Heitman’s Global Public Securities platform

 

The responsibilities of a Reconciliation Associate include, but are not limited to:

  • Reconcile cash, positions, and income receivable to banks/prime brokers/custodians.
  • Timely follow-up and resolution of all reconciliation breaks.
  • Coordinate the calculation and tracking of client fee billings and related accruals.
  • Assist in the reconciliation and payment of all soft dollar services.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for distribution to clients and or their trustees.
  • Respond to client / consultant information requests as needed.
  • Identify and resolve differences and issues, adhering to internal control and accounting standards.
  • Works closely with internal partners in Operations, Client Service and Marketing, Trading, and Global Investment Analytics on information requests as needed.

 

We are seeking individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • BA in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • 1-3 years of experience in securities or reconciliation
  • Knowledge of equities and securities reconciliation a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize competing responsibilities.
